Free intro class – November 20
Please join us on November 20th for our free “Taste of Modern Square Dancing” from 7 to 9.
We call this a Taste because we hope that once you try out our offering, you will want to come back and join us for all the courses! Gary Monday will be calling for us – we are lucky that he now lives in Seattle as he is a wonderful caller and has gigs all over the country.
You don’t need to bring any special equipment or clothing – we dance in comfortable clothes, most of us in street clothes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
No partner necessary but couples are welcome as well as singles. We are a gay square dance club but at least 25% of our members do not identify as LGBT. All ages, genders, races, etc. are welcome. We are a diverse group and welcome everyone.
We will teach you calls so you will be dancing for most of the evening. There will also be breaks when you can socialize as well as enjoy finger food.
We are dancing in the social hall at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 111 NE 80th (map). The entrance is on 1st NE just south of 80th. Parking is on 1st or behind the church.
Hope to see you there.
